If you're using Chrome on a computer that is shared with multiple users, you may see someone else's account when you launch Google Chrome. This is because the Chrome browser can be linked to a Google account, which allows access to Google resources without logging in each time. If the Chrome browser is already linked to an account, it will default to using that account each time.
The solution to successfully sharing Chrome between multiple users is to create a new Chrome profile for each user. This allows each user to maintain their own settings and preferences, such as bookmarks, saved passwords, browsing history, etc. A new shortcut to launch Chrome can be optionally created on the DESKTOP to make accessing a given profile even easier. Otherwise, you can click on the profile icon in the upper-right corner of Chrome to swith between existing profiles.
Follow these steps to create additional profiles in Google Chrome.
Here is a short video clip showing how Chrome Profiles are added to Google Chrome running on Windows 10 (other platforms should be similar.)
